Hi to all,
I don't know if their are any fans of Highschool of the Dead Manga, but for those who don't know it you'll have another chance with the anime. They finally decided to make an anime out of the manga, and myself am very excited to see it.
If you like zombie, tones of fan service and busty babes you'll be pleased.
I must admit I wasn't drawn into the story much, but I was drawn into the hotness of the gals. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I've heard about that series before. I actually really wanted to read it, but, well... I can't read Japanese. It's too bad, but that being said, maybe if the anime does well, I'll get to see it in English.

This looks like an interesting ride. Everything we like about the genre rolled into one! I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but we'll see how this fares against Seikon no Qwaser. This year, once again, is slowly getting better and better for this kind of field!

Looks interesting. Who's the art director? The style looks similar to Dragonaut and Witchblade.

close, Dragonaut and Wtichblade are designed by Uno Makoto, the artist of Highschool of the dead is Shouji Sato, who has and still is doing a number of witclbade and dragonaut doujinshi, maybe you've seen them [g.e-hentai.org] [g.e-hentai.org].


Anywho, I'm defiently putting this anime on high list. Qsawer, sekirei, and now this, I have to say this is shaping up to be a good year for bakunyuu fans. I'm defiently keeping highshool of the dead of the top of the list, when you've got a studio like madhouse who known for doing animation with high budgets and the artist of the manga saying "The animation studio says they're making the characters' boobs jiggle with no mercy, so the fans should be able to rest easy." you know you're in for good times

Wow, with a resume like that, no wonder this is going to be awesome! Don't know when the first episode would air, but maybe if we are lucky, it will show around the time when Seikon No Qwasar is becoming a thin line between truly epic and extremely disappointing. I apparently found Ladies and Butlers while awaiting new episodes of Qwaser, and if we play our cards right, High School of the Dead will be just as awesome and scary!

So far so good, series looks like it's headed in the right direction.
I really enjoyed the music for the series, I don't mind the intro and credits, I mean during the episode.
I think I even might have heard a score from 28 days later, but not sure, it's a familiar one from a movie, not sure though.

Strange this episode has the credits, then it goes back to the show, and the credits roll again...

I'm definitely going to check out the rest of it.

Interesting to say the least. It's kinda nice its unlike most anime that has all but a few lady characters flat chested. However its pretty sad to see so many boobs, er I mean girls die, most notably that female teacher at the start I was hoping she'd be a minor character atleast was a real shame to see her 'die' as she had a great pair.

Call me sexist but I could care less when a man dies in anime as they don't have boobs (hopefully) and most are unlikable douches anyways.

Wow. After seeing this, I was thinking it is possible to place fanservice within a zombie apocalypse setting with lush animation, awesome moments and then some. I admit, the minor teacher dying was a huge downer, but at least we got someone even bigger (The blond teacher comes to mind) and that's to be expected in a zombie apocalypse setting.

The dead cares not for who you are, once you are bitten or eaten, you become part of the zombie family. This only makes the heroes think harder, fight harder, and gain more allies in their fight to survive. Don't know the whole story, but maybe that will be revealed in further episodes. Don't know how many episodes there are, however......

Wow, this series just keeps getting better and better, seeing three episodes, and the blond teacher just have some moments to show you, even some of the female cast members.... Although the busty news reporter could have some more scenes....

Also, one word of warning, YOU WILL NOT LIKE SHIDO. That is a fact.

To be honest, I find all but the busty teacher and the purple haired girl annoying... the pink haired girl is the worst of them and I wish someone would duct-tape her mouth shut. Sorry for the rant.

Regardless, in my opinion this will be a nice new source of boob gifs, but I don't plan on actually watching it.

I haven't watched the anime yet but I have read english scans of the manga. I hope they have as much fanservice if not a little more in the anime. I also hope they also animate the third omake chapter. Here's a few fanservice infused pages of the omake.

I think I agree with Katt here. I'm also not a fan of the innocent people getting murdered, but meh.

Well, I've watch 7 episode so far and I can say so far so good. While it's not an anime series I can say "you have to watch this", it's definitely a fun series and I don't "fun" as in "forgive the stupidness of said series", I mean fun, as in I haven't enjoyed an anime like this in a while.

Anyway as far as gifs goes I'm got a pretty good amount, if the fanservice keeps going the way it is right now, it's may even surpass Desert Punk, which a pretty hefty feat to due in 12 episodes. Anywho, surpisely or unsuprisingly Shizuka,the nurse, who I wanted to kill in episode 2 but grow on me later, she providing the least amount of gifs so far. A lot of the fanservice is focus on the school girls, which to be fair, they are the only one's that are attractive and have outgoing personalities. Still, I don't know what's up with characters in the 100cm+ bust club. Almost all of them are introduced as the de facto fanservice character, but characters like Cattleya(queen's blade), Haruka (Basquash), and other's haven't been live up to the hype.

Oh well five more episodes and to mentions Shizuka's taking the driving seat on a Humvee that's in for a bumpy ride (if you catch my drift).

Oops replace attractive with active. Shizuka is definitely not a fighters. Quite frankly I don't care how big her breasts are, her personality be really irritating at times but I will say that to me she's definitely the most active of the cast right now. I just wish they'd play up her sexy side more that the silly one.

You're watching the wrong version. The version you wanna be watching is release by the sub group GG. Their version is less censored.

Anyway, watched episode 8 and I can now elevate this anime to a must watch. If you can handle the stupidity of the characters in this episode, there were just some epic scenes. One in particular that will now be dubbed the boobtrix, pretty much out-eikened eiken, as far as share ridiculousness with breasts. Here's the scene [img.tv2ch.net]. I really don't know how to classify it

So what is the exact differences anyway? Just like covering the nipples in the bath scenes?

I'm honestly interested to see how this story works out too. First anime I've actually watched in a while too. It's so much like the Resident Evil games and even some of the recent Resident Evil movie storylines too I think.

No offense to you animeboy (but clear and total offense to the creators of the anime and that whole scene idea) but that is utterly retarded O_o

I know I know its anime... theres zombies... its not real... etc. But those boobs would be moving like 100 mph or something for that which begs the question, what the hell are they and that girl made of besides pure fanservice and ridiculousness?

Oh don't me wrong that seen was Stupid with a captial "S" but things being stupid hasn't stopped me from enjoying them. It's the same with that scene, I've just never laughed so loud watching anime before. Your opinions aren't in the minority though, I lurked some forums regard that episode, and it's an even split of people how found that scene to be so stupid it's funny or so stupid it's.....stupid. I fall in the former of course.

Anyway, as far as the difference between the censored version and the less censored version, I'm not too sure since I only watch one, but I have scene some screen shots from the censored and it seem the heavy ecchi scene are obnoxiously censored.

Watched ep 9 & 10, the most noticeable aspect is the lack of fanservice, which isn't a complaint, but rather an observation. The episode are still good and there's a lot of character development.

Speaking of character development. I have to ask, would it kill the creators of the show and the manga to give Shizuka some much needed character development. Seriously, it's not hampering my enjoyment of the show but it's somewhat distracting how little she adds to the plot and don't let appearances fool you either because she is not anywhere close to the main source of fanservice. Nope, she's there, she may say a sentence or two but it seem as if her being there is really just justification about why the group can have access to certian things, the Humvee, the weapons. I really wanna see her to be fleshed out.

Well, from what I've read, Shizuka will do something really awesome later on. I don't know if we gotten down that path yet, but things are starting to heat up for the heroes, especially when meeting Saya's parents and the like. I agree that Shizuka needs some character development, but give it some time. She is the team medic, after all, and will do more than heal wounds and provide fanservice later on. Could be wrong about this.

Again, YOU WILL HATE SHIDOU. His own development in the later episodes will tell us why I typed that.
